Abstract:
Brunwick Junior College is endeavoring to be a community college for all citizens living in the Golden lsles area of Coastal Georgia. As a two-year unit of the University System of Georgia the college is still in the process of developing. It is in the interstices -- between infancy and growing into maturity -- and while progress has been made, much remains to be accomplished. The support and goodwill of citizens of Brunswick and Glynn County continue to be received by the college. The cadre of lay citizens working cooperatively with Brunswick Junior College faculty and staff have provided a broad base from which this college will continue to make significant contributions in providing educational opportunities to all people. During this year the college was successfu in achieving the coveted "Admission to Candidacy" for accreditation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
